New magazine for 14-19 Diploma
A recent poll at a Schools' Science Conference found that 86 per cent of 14 to18 year-olds would like to know more about the new Diploma in Society, Health and Development (SHD) being launched in September this year. And, at SkillsActive we're on the case.
SkillsActive, as part of the Diploma Development Partnership, has worked in collaboration with Skills for Health, Skills for Justice and Skills for Care to develop the content of the SHD Diploma, and represent the children's workforce alongside the Children's Workforce Development Council.
SkillsActive has created a magazine packed full of information about the SHD diploma specifically for young people who are interested in a career in the children's workforce.
The magazine is aimed at those in years nine or eleven wanting to find out more about the SHD Diploma and answers many of the questions that young people have, including everything from general information about the Diploma to the practical aspects like applying for funding to help pay for school or college.
For more information about the SHD Diploma visit the SkillsActive website, or to get your hands on a copy of the magazine you can email.
