Our objectives
As Playwork South East is hosting and supporting the Regional Play Association, Re:Play, we have consulted employers, playworkers and stakeholders about the overall Aims and Objectives of the organisation. It was agreed at the AGM in June 2006 that these should be amended to reflect the broader remit that Re:Play brings to the organisation, as follows:
Playwork South East Aim:
Playwork South East will promote and support the highest standards and widest accessibility of play opportunities and playwork education and training within the region.
Playwork South East Objectives:
- Networking: To provide a representative body that ensures that everyone involved in the delivery of play and playwork has a say in its development locally, regionally and nationally.
- Communication: To promote awareness and understanding of play and playwork, by acting as a conduit for information, communicating with people at all levels, within the profession and beyond.
- Training & Education Development: To raise the quality and accessibility of playwork education, training and qualifications across the region, supporting local and national developments.
- Funding: To ensure the viability and sustainability of the Playwork South East by attracting external funding in a systematic and on-going basis.
- Quality Assurance: To promote continuous professional development within the play and playwork sector through the support and implementation of systems of quality assurance.
- Advocacy: To campaign and support the expansion of high quality play opportunities and support playwork as a professional career
